What is this #FiestaMovement that I keep seeing everywhere?
As many of you who follow me on Twitter have noticed, I have been using the hashtag “FiestaMovement” quite a bit. Hashtags are a community-driven convention for adding additional context and metadata to your tweets. They’re like tags on Flickr, only added inline to your post. You create a hashtag simply by prefixing a word with a hash symbol: #hashtag.
My use of #fiestamovement tag allows relevant “Fiesta Movement” tweets to display in the live feed on the Ford Fiesta Movement website as well as on my Fiesta Movement profile page.
Not only do my tweets containing #fiestamovement show up in the live feed on Ford’s site, but the other selected 99 other agents in the Fiesta Movement show up as well.
#FiestaMovement
I am 1 of 100 agents who are spending six months behind the wheel of their own Fiesta, sharing my experiences, and completing monthly missions to show the world what experiencing the Ford Fiesta is all about, way in advance of the U.S. launch in 2010.
FiestaMovement.com pulls in all the 100 agents’ content across the web to let people follow the Movement in one convenient place. And each month will highlight different themed Missions, from Travel, Adventure, and Social Activism to Technology, Style & Design, and Entertainment. Feel free to check out my profile page.
